method for creating easy to remember strong passwords
Tags: passwords, security, Tutorials
i have a method of creating passwords that i think is pretty cool. basically, it works like this:
think of a two-word phrase or conjunction like “Butterfly”. to create the password, break up the conjunction and separate them with a character like so: Butter=fly.
lastly, add a digit(s) to the end. for example: Butter=fly1
here are some more examples:
- dunkin&Donuts2
- Match+stick5
- micro-Soft99
remember to always capitalize the first letter of the first or second portion of the word.
i believe this password methodology works because it utilizes “chunking“. you really only have to memorize three things: the word, the separator, and the number.
