Project Euler is a series of challenging mathematical/computer programming problems that will require more than just mathematical insights to solve. Although mathematics will help you arrive at elegant and efficient methods, the use of a computer and programming skills will be required to solve most problems.

pattern tap is a pretty sweet site for browsing through design elements you like. for example, if you’re looking for “footer” inspiration, you can browse through a bunch of screenshots of really pretty footers. do the same for nav,  backgrounds, borders, buttons, and more.

as an aside, i wonder why bank of america’s site is so crappy? i’m going to piss a lot of people off, but i think bank of america is one of my favorite products. it’s perfect for me because it’s everywhere, let’s do you everything and more from the net, and they have great in-country customer support. my only complaint is the amount of junk mail i get from them and the fact that there are a few states where transferring accounts requires you to re-signup for an account (i suspect that’s not a widepsread problem for most).

maybe i’ll mock something up! that could be fun.
